The United Nations invites us to celebrate peace every September 21. Today, organisation is also celebrating its 75th anniversary in New York, with the opening of its General Assembly under the theme "Shaping Peace Together".

Brazzaville Foundation, one of whose major programmes concerns conflict resolution, joins in this celebration by recalling that its method consists in making the protagonists of conflicts actors in their resolution, through mutual recognition and dialogue. In this way, they can actively shape peace together. This is what we call the Brazzaville spirit ".

Jean-Yves Ollivier, Founding Chairman reminds us that " Brazzaville Foundation is an association working for peace. We are not here to make peace, but to facilitate peace and create the conditions for a lasting and serious peace". This is the aim of the Libyan dialogue launched in 2018.

Richard Amalvy, Chief Executive, notes that "as an NGO in consultative relationship with the United Nations, it is natural that the Brazzaville Foundation should take up the great debate UN75 launched by the Secretary General, Antonio Guttieres. It will do so, in particular, by joining soon the NGO conference". In previous positions, Richard Amalvy was vice-president of the Conference (2008-2010).
