The work of Kabiné Komara, head of the Observation Mission in Burkina Faso

20201227-Kabine-ECOWAS

Kabiné Komara, former Guinean Prime Minister and Advisory Board Member of Brazzaville Foundation, led the observation mission for the presidential elections held in Burkina-Faso on November 22.

By virtue of its unfailing commitment to the consolidation of democracy in Africa, its proven knowledge of the region and its wealth of experience in institutional issues, the ECOWAS Commission has asked the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Guinea to lead this mission to ensure that the parties involved in the presidential election all agree on the composition of the electoral roll, on the composition and operation of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI), and on the entire electoral process from voting to the tabulation and aggregation of results.

Mission accomplished for Kabiné Komara and the 60 observers of the Observation Mission: the presidential and legislative elections of November 22 and the proclamation of the results took place in a peaceful atmosphere.
