Russian Deputy Foreign Minister discusses Libya

Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov, received Jean-Yves Ollivier, Founding Chairman of Brazzaville Foundation, on Friday.

"The meeting focused on developments in Libya and prospects for resolving the Libyan crisis. The Russian side stressed the importance of putting an end to the armed confrontation as soon as possible and launching an inclusive political process under the aegis of the UN to reach an intra-Libyan agreement, the basis for the future development of this country as a united, sovereign and independent state," the ministry said.
