Created on March 5, 2020, ACOREP's missions include authorizing the marketing of medicines and monitoring the pharmaceutical market. Its main objective is to protect the population against the circulation of substandard and counterfeit medicines.

Alongside the Minister of Health and the Deputy Minister of Health, Ms. Veronique Kilumba Nkulu, the new Chief Executive, Mr. Christian Ntumba Ngoy, his deputy and the Chairperson of the Board of Directors committed to accelerate the fight against falsified and substandard medicines and to promote access to quality medicines.

The Brazzaville Foundation welcomes the commitment of the Congolese presidency, the Ministry of Health and the new ACOREP committee. As a reminder, the DRC is a candidate to join the Lomé Initiative against medicines that kill and fight in a systemic way against this deadly trafficking , alongside six other African countries (Congo, Ghana, Niger, Senegal, Togo and Uganda).
