"This catastrophic situation, in which medicines worsen patients' health, is still very real in many countries. This is particularly alarming in some African countries where, according toOrganisation , falsified medicines account for 30-60% of medical products, compared with less than 1% in developed countries with effective legislation, awareness-raising and law enforcement tools".
