Karima Mkika has been President of the Al Karam Association since its creation in November 1997. She devotes all her time to the isolated or exploited children of the Rue de Marrakech in Safi.
In 2004, she worked as a consultant for UNICEF, where she also acted as a trainer in monitoring and evaluation, with a particular focus on violence against children.
She has received several distinctions: the Prix de l'Humanitaire Madame Figaro (2006), the Prix Terre de Femmes (2013), the Prix Inspiration Women (2016), and a consecration by HuffPost Maghreb and the Institut du Monde Arabe in 2017 (among the 4 women from the Maghreb who move the world).
Ms. Mkika studied in Marrakech, Essaouira, Mohammedia and Rabat, with a baccalauréat, studies at the École Supérieure de Commerce (Sup de Co - Marrakech), and at the Faculté de Droit Mohammed V in Rabat.
