A first meeting of experts in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo
On 13 September 2016, the Brazzaville Foundation held a first expert meeting in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo. The objective of this first workshop was to exchange with specialists in environmental issues and representatives of regional organisations on better management of the Congo Basin and its tributaries. The experts and the Foundation agreed, at the end of this meeting, on a common proposal to redesign the bases of the economy of the sub-region, through an innovative exploitation of the renewable resources of the basin waters.

One of the members of the Advisory Board, Sundeep Waslekar, accompanied by the Executive Director of his think tank, Ilmas Futehally, accompanied Foundation members on their ministerial visits. The projects proposed by the Strategic Foresight Group and the Foundation received very encouraging feedback from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of State for Agriculture.
Following their meeting with the President of the Republic of Congo, the Foundation pledged to pool all its efforts to strengthen the region's economic and sustainable development.
