Richard Amalvy, new Chief Executive foundation

The Board of Trustees of the Brazzaville Foundation has appointed Mr. Richard Amalvy to the position of Chief Executive. He took up his post on 1 June 2020. He succeeds Sir David Richmond, who was appointed the Foundation's first Chief Executive in 2015.

Richard Amalvy has held a number of positions at organisations intergovernmental organizations, including director of the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe, Youth Policy Consultant at the World Bank, and Public Affairs and General Affairs Consultant at the OECD. Very active in the NGO sector for over 25 years, he has been a leader of the European Youth Forum, the World Scout Bureau and the Conference of NGO Members of the United Nations Economic and Social Council. He has co-designed and led programmes projects aimed at conflict resolution and civil society strengthening in Haiti, the Great Lakes region of Africa, the Middle East and the Balkans. We welcome him to the team.
