Audience with Prince Michael of Kent, royal patron

20230320-PrinceMoK-RA

HRH Prince Michael of Kent was instrumental in establishing the Brazzaville Foundation in London, and has given it his royal patronage since its inception. He has been present at the Foundation's major events and initiatives, including the launch of the Congo Basin Blue Fund in Oyo, Congo, in October 2017, and at the Lomé Summit against the medicines that kill  in January 2020. Very attentive to environmental issues, in November 2021 while the COP26 was being held in Glasgow, he was keen to record a welcome message to the Heads of State members of the Congo Basin Climate Commission.

Keeping abreast of the Foundation's activities through friendly meetings with the Founding Chairman, Jean-Yves Ollivier, he regularly receives the Chief Executive at Kensington Palace for audiences during which he enjoys discussing issues related to the Foundation's programmes. The last audience took place on 20 March, before Richard Amalvy's departure to Togo. The Prince and the Chief Executive were able to discuss at length the current state of the fight against falsified and substandard medicines and to assess the progress of the programme since the launch of the Lomé Initiative, which the Prince had encouraged in January 2020.
