Jean-Yves Ollivier receives the 2024 "Bridges-to-Africa" Award from the African Leadership Group

17 August, Denver - Jean-Yves Ollivier, Founding Chairman of the Brazzaville Foundation, received the 2024 Afrik Impact "Bridges-to-Africa" award from the African Leadership Group at the 9th Annual Gala. The award recognises Jean-Yves Ollivier's significant contributions to international mediation and the promotion of collaboration between communities on the African continent.

The African Leadership Group, a Colorado-based nonprofit founded 17 years ago, is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the African immigrant community through a series of programmes social, educational and economic initiatives.

 

These initiatives include youth empowerment, public speaking and leadership courses, which collectively benefit thousands of people. Every August, ALG organises Afrik Impact, a major community event celebrating the contributions of African immigrants to Colorado.

 

The award of the Bridges-to-Africa prize to Jean-Yves Ollivier underlines the importance of fostering unity and collaboration between African communities, and recognises his outstanding efforts in this regard.
