The Brazzaville Foundation, great partner of Africa Political Outlook 2025 to rethink multilateralism
25 March, Brussels - The Brazzaville Foundation participated as a great partner in the Africa Political Outlook (APO) 2025 edition, bringing together African and international political and economic decision-makers. This edition was marked by in-depth reflection on the role of the "New South" in global governance and the reforms needed for a more inclusive multilateralism.

A high-level panel at the opening on the future of multilateralism
As part of this commitment, the Brazzaville Foundation organised the high-level panel at the opening of the event, entitled "From multilateralism in crisis to an inclusive international order". The panel, moderated by Mr Foulo Basse, Chief Executive of the Brazzaville Foundation, explored the challenges and opportunities linked to the emergence of the "New South" on the international scene.
Among the speakers, Mr Jean-Yves Ollivier, Founding Chairman of the Foundation, contributed his expertise as a panelist alongside internationally renowned political and diplomatic figures, namely :
- Ms Camilla BRÜCKNER, Director of the United Nations/UNDP Office in Brussels and Representative of the United Nations System to the European Union
- H.E. Albert Pahimi PADACKÉ, former Prime Minister of Chad and Senator
- H.E. Ahmedou OULD-ABDALLAH, former Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for West Africa and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mauritania
- Dr. Clarence MONIBA, President and Founder of the Moniba Foundation, Liberia
- H.E. Rania AL-MASHAT, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation of Egypt (remotely, by video)
Jean-Yves Ollivier wins the APO2025 Great Prize
The event was also marked by a special recognition: Jean-Yves Ollivier was awarded the Africa Political Outlook Great Prize, in recognition of his commitment to civil diplomacy, peace and international cooperation. This distinction underscores the impact of the Brazzaville Foundation Foundation's initiatives for a strengthened, respectful and inclusive global dialogue, as well as better integration of emerging players in global governance.
