The Global Fairness Initiative, created in 2012 and based in Washington, aims to promote fairness by fostering sustainable development through fair compensation for effort, equal market access and the implementation of public policies to break the cycle of poverty and underdevelopment.

Asked about his priorities as the new Chairman of the Board, Mr. Komara began by praising the vision of President Clinton, who created the initiative. He expressed his gratitude to the outgoing Chairman, Danilo Turk, and the other Directors for the unanimous confidence they had shown in him. He promised to mobilise more resources, raise the organisation's profile and expand its activities to implement more projects promoting equity, inclusion and social justice. He concluded by emphasising that this important responsibility was a great honor for him and his country, Guinea.
