The Brazzaville Foundation launches a new initiative to promote a common and shared vision for the future of African-Western relations “The Marrakech Meetings”

On 5 and 6 January 2024, the Brazzaville Foundation brought together high-level personalities and experts in Marrakech, Morocco, for a free and constructive discussion on the crucial issues in relations between Africa and the West. The concepts of mutual respect, sovereignty and partnership were at the heart of the discussions. The participants put forward recommendations aimed at promoting more balanced cooperation between the two parties and a fairer positioning of Africa on the international stage. They also expressed their willingness to continue these discussions.
