The Brazzaville Foundation website, under the impetus of its president Jean-Yves Ollivier, is organizing an "inter-Libyan dialogue" in Dakar from May 11 to 13, bringing together some thirty parties involved in the conflict. Representatives of various tendencies of the former regime of Muammar Gaddafi will be present in Dakar from May 11 to 13 for an exceptional conference. This event, the first of its kind in many months, is being held with the agreement of the African Union and the support of His Excellency Macky Sall, President of Senegal.

At the initiative of Brazzaville Foundation, organisation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to conflict resolution, the objective of the conference is to establish a lasting dialogue, without intermediaries and without preconditions, between Libyan representatives from all political backgrounds. "Breaking down the wall of mistrust" is the ambition of this event.

This initiative, which Jean-Yves Ollivier has been leading for several months, complements other mediation efforts by international players such as the UN, which is organizing a national reconciliation conference until the end of July. The initiative is intended to provide an opportunity for a free exchange of views.

Brazzaville Foundation is convinced that encouraging peaceful dialogue between Libyans is the key to finding a way out of the conflict. Jean-Yves Ollivier, who has distinguished himself as a mediator in the resolution of several conflicts in Africa and the Middle East, has been working for many months to draw up a roadmap for peace and reconciliation, involving all parties to the conflict.

Theorganisation by Brazzaville Foundation of this exceptional conference, to be held from May 11 to 13, shows the extent of the progress made in recent months to facilitate rapprochement between the Libyan players in the conflict. The Foundation and Jean-Yves Ollivier would like to thank the African Union and His Excellency Macky Sall for their support in this endeavor.
