Our Chairman, Jean-Yves Ollivier, was invited to discuss the role of the private sector and foundations in promoting intercultural dialogue. On the second day of the Forum, he expressed his views on the perception of the African continent in relation to the rest of the world. He took part in the panel "Engager un meilleur dialogue avec l'Afrique, vers un développement plus harmonieux du continent" in the presence of former Malian President Dioncounda Traoré and former Guinean Prime Minister Ibrahima Kassory Fofana. He reminded the audience of the importance of no longer imposing preconceived Western models, and of supporting African states in setting up governance mechanisms adapted to the traditions and realities of their countries.
