Amama Mbabazi and Philippe Jonnart take part in Institut Aspen France's 15th Europe-Africa Conference

25 November, Annecy - The 15th Europe-Africa Conference of the Institut Aspen France, held from 23 to 25 November 2023 at Fondation Mérieux, was an opportunity to celebrate the 30th anniversary of these meetings, under the theme "Africa and Europe: (re)building a common destiny". Mr. Amama Mbabazi, former Prime Minister of Uganda and Advisory Board Member of the Brazzaville Foundation, as well as Mr Philippe Jonnart, Trustee and Treasurer of the Foundation, took part in the discussions.

The Institut Aspen France is an international forum, bringing together leaders from diverse backgrounds, all driven by the desire to confront the great challenges of our time and shape a promising future.

 

In a session dedicated to Africa's geopolitical and economic future, Mr. Mbabazi shared his views on the importance of Africa's role and the challenges facing the continent now and in the future. Beyond the dialogue between Europe and Africa, this conference underlined the need to build trusting relationships and foster mutual understanding to shape a common and prosperous future.
