Marrakech meeting on fake medicines

The Brazzaville Foundation organised has a meeting to address its future actions on the trafficking of fake medicines. This meeting took place in Marrakech (Morocco) from June 12 to 14, 2019. More than 30 participants were present, some of them being in the front line of the fight against this scourge.

Discussions raised the need for legislation that criminalizes the sale, for more repressive sanctions, and for a new approach to enable strict enforcement of the law. The latter should be done through close collaboration between the Ministries of Health, Interior and Justice, involving also the police and customs.
