The Brazzaville Foundation organised website hosted a meeting to discuss future action on the trafficking counterfeit medicines issue. The meeting took place in Marrakech (Morocco) from June 12 to 14, 2019. More than 30 participants attended, some of them on the front line of the fight against this scourge.

Discussions raised the need for legislation to criminalize sales, more repressive penalties and a new approach to strict enforcement. The latter should be achieved through close collaboration between the Ministries of Health, the Interior and Justice, also involving the police and customs.
