The Gambia joins the Lomé Initiative

On 21 April, H.E. Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia, received in Banjul in audience Mr. Jean-Yves Ollivier, Founding Chairman.

During this meeting, President Barrow confirmed his country's desire to engage in the fight against falsified and substandard medicines under the Lomé Initiative launched in January 2020 under the auspices of President Faure Gnassingbé, by Congo (Brazzaville), Ghana, Niger, Uganda, Senegal, and Togo. The Gambia will thus become the seventh signatory country of the Lomé Initiative.
