The Brazzaville Foundation takes part in the International Pharmaceutical Forum in Lomé
7 July, Lomé - The Chief Executive of the Brazzaville Foundation M. Foulo Basse took part in the 23rd International Pharmaceutical Forum, held in Lomé from 3 to 7 July, which brought together over a thousand pharmacists from 24 countries. One of the highlights of the event was a workshop entitled "Substandard and falsified medicines: Quality control", in which Mr. Basse was one of the panellists. In addition, Mr. Basse held working meetings with the authorities of the Lomé Initiative, and benefited from enriching exchanges with a number of players in the sector.

One of the next steps in the Lomé Initiative is the meeting of its Technical Committee, made up of experts from the public, private and civil society sectors. It will meet on 25 and 26 July in Lomé to review the national plan to combat fake medicines in Togo and make recommendations for its improved implementation. The latter is at the heart of the pilot project in Togo whose main objective is to model the method and extend it to other member countries of the initiative.
